Parenting Support for Parents of Young Children
Course Details
Sessions are 2.5 hours long
In person in Dundrum, Dublin
Sessions run for 12 – 14 weeks
Course Overview
This course is designed to support toddlers through to primary aged children. It aims to strengthen your parent-child interactions and attachment, reducing harsh discipline and promoting your child’s emotional, social and language development.
The course takes the form of interactive workshops, using real-life situations to support training and stimulate discussions and problem solving. You will also have to opportunity to practise the skills so you feel confident applying them to your situation.
What You Will Learn
You will learn how to work together with teachers to support your child’s development and help with their homework. You will also learn practical strategies to help deal with certain issues in the home, such as monitoring your child’s school progress, setting rules for TV, tablets and computers.
Parenting support for children with ASD
Course Details
Sessions are 2.5 hours long
In person in Dundrum, Dublin
Sessions run for 12-14 weeks
Course Overview
This course is designed to support parents of children on the Autistic Spectrum. The aim of the course is to help you support your child with emotional regulation, social competence, language skills, relationships and school readiness.
The course takes the form of interactive workshops, using real-life situations to support training and stimulate discussions and problem solving. You will also have to opportunity to practise the skills, so you feel confident applying them to your situation.
What You Will Learn
You will learn about how you can support your child’s language development, how to encourage positive social interactions, as well as help them with the emotional literacy so they can communicate their feelings, which can prevent feelings of frustration. You will also learn practical tools to help you support your child’s emotional regulation.
Parents and preschool teachers as partners of children on the ASD spectrum
Course Details
Sessions are 2.5 hours long
In person in Dundrum, Dublin
Sessions run for 8-10 weeks
Course Overview
This course is designed for parents and teachers of children on the Autistic spectrum. This course aims to support teachers and parents who are working with children on the ASD spectrum. It is designed to promote children’s emotional regulation, language development, positive social interactions and school readiness.
The course takes the form of interactive workshops, using real-life situations to support training and stimulate discussions and problem solving. You will also have the opportunity to practise the skills, so you feel confident applying them to your situation.
What You Will Learn
